Workshops + Retreats
Magical. That’s the word that best describes the week I just spent with Paola Feher at the Haramara yoga retreat in Mexico.
This is the third year I have been fortunate to visit this special place for a week of relaxation, yoga, and gourmet food in this splendid natural setting.
But this week was exceptional. Paola’s style of challenging, healing yoga was a unique transforming experience. My body has never felt so open and aligned and my mind so at peace. Paola is a mystical woman. So knowledgeable and giving, she is always available to answer any questions that may come up.
One day I walked into the little town of Sayulita and spent time in the hustle and bustle of an authentic Mexican village with all it’s quaint shops and vibrant energy.
I also had the pleasure of spending time with authentic, fun-loving women whom I had never met before but who graciously invited me in. I woke to the sounds of the crashing surf and bird song. I feel very fortunate to have experienced this week of Paola’s transforming yoga, community, and natural wonder.

My yoga experience at Haramara was life-changing, but not in a cliche kind of way. I had been actively attempting to alleviate pain in my body from a life-time of sports injuries. I had become weak and inflexible without even know it. After a week of twice daily yoga with Paola, my body began to move in ways not previously possible (for at least the past 10 years). Paola has extensive knowledge and experience in biomechanics and chronic pain that she draws upon to expertly build the week's practice to meet our specific needs. My week at Haramara set me on a path of better health through yoga and self-reflection. The icing on the cake was the exquisite care with which the staff at Haramara attend to your every need. The food was delicious, the off-the-grid casitas are lovely, and the setting is just beautiful.

I’m not sure how to express my gratitude for the experience I had at Haramara. I’ve connected with myself in a whole new level. I can tell the difference in me when I do not do a yoga practice now. I am a completely different person who is uptight and stressed easily. I’ve learned how Yoga not only grounds me but opens the doors to many other levels of life for me.
